The life and growth of the ministry depend largely on the number of members and their attendance during church services. Several reasons seem to contribute to decreased church attendance and membership. Various fun Church activities can be organized and performed to revive people’s interest in supporting their ministry.
Utilities
Visiting people from the local community and handing out flyers is a good idea to find many parishioners. Shinchonji outreach programs and community services can also spark people’s interest. You can organize family reunions, movie nights for non-members, etc.
After church service, you may be able to organize a meal program for the less fortunate members of your congregation. You can also host various livelihood workshops open to members and non-members, and more.
Less restrictive dress codes
Perhaps what discourages church members from attending services is that they do not have adequate clothing for Sundays. To invite them back to your busy church attendance, you may be able to make minor changes to the dress code. Allow people to wear clothing that is comfortable, but at the same time dignified and appropriate to attend mass or service.
Create youth programs.
Youth programs are designed for young ministry employees. These are the programs they will be interested in joining. Sunday Bible study is certainly a great way to teach children more about God, but the usual boring atmosphere of this activity is definitely not suitable for children. Remember that children only have energy, they prefer to go out and play instead of sitting still and listening to an exhausting lecture. If you are organizing activities that children will attend, think about what interests them. Teens are likely to enjoy playing musical instruments or watching movies. Let them play music to worship God and let them watch movies that teach them good values in life.
Entertaining music
Another idea that church members will love is live music. You can ask how many of its members know how to play instruments like drums, keyboards and guitar. Ask them to play during the service to encourage people to participate. You can also use some devices, such as a screen projector, to blink and display the lyrics of the song that is playing. You can’t expect people to join in the singing if they don’t know the words of the song.
Fresh and inspiring sermons
There are also times when people simply choose to skip church because they don’t want a pastor or priest to preach a sermon or sermon. It really depends on the pastor / priest’s personal interpretation of what he has to say during this part of the service. I could simply repeat what was said in the Holy Scriptures, but this alone may not be of interest to those who attend church. What people want is a kind of preaching that wakes them up, makes them think about their life; make them realize something in their life.
